From start to finish, I felt totally immersed in the celebration of love between Heather and Tom. It was lovely to be there to capture the girls getting ready in the morning and helping them with last minute bits and pieces. Then it was on to the beautiful church of St Chads in Birmingham City Centre (the very heart of my hometown!) I’d been past this church so many times before but I never knew just how picturesque it was inside, I was mesmerised by the ornate interior and the welcoming atmosphere that it offered. The ceremony was traditional and classy, with inspiring words spoken by the wonderful priest and stunning voices from the choir. We continued the celebrations back at Fairlawns Hotel which was also beautifully decorated by Heather herself! It was a great opportunity to get some lovely photographs of the newly weds and their family outside in the pretty courtyard area where the late summer sun was beating down on us.
Today I met up with Lucy & Hadleigh at their wedding venue in Enville for their consultation and pre wedding photoshoot. They bought their two beautiful daughters along with them to join in with the photographs in the woodland nearby. In between running around hunting for fairies in the trees, we managed to get some lovely photographs of them all together. I just love capturing these natural, special moments.
What a dream it has been working with Jen & Ben. From the very beginning when we first met at their engagement photoshoot, it was so lovely getting to know them and hearing about all of their exciting plans for the wedding at Stanbrook Abbey in Worcestershire. The venue was truly magnificent, with an interesting juxtaposition of new and old architecture, a joy to photograph. It was incredible seeing all of their amazing ideas come alive on the big day and how spectacular it was to witness. I felt so welcome and a part of their day and I really loved capturing every bit of it. Now on to creating a bespoke wedding album for the beautiful newly weds!
Huge congratulations to Keith and Sophie who tied the knot in Hopwood last week. What a beautiful couple they make, I can see a long life of laughter and love for them both.
Another lovely wedding at The Heath Hotel, Bewdley, this time for Donna & Pete. It was a true romantic, fairytale wedding in the lush outdoors with the sun beaming down on us. The children were like little pixies dancing around in the grass all day and everyone was just so happy for the wonderful newly weds!
It was a boiling hot and sunny bank holiday Monday when I met up with the lovely bride and groom to be, Claire and Anthony. Both of them grew up at opposite sides of the Woodgate Valley, and that is where they used to meet up as a midway point! (So cute!) Obviously, this was the perfect location to choose for their pre wedding photographs. It was a walk down memory lane for them, while I casually snapped away and got some lovely photos of them together.
Engagement shoots are complimentary with all of my Wedding Photography packages, and they really are a great way for the bride and groom to practice some poses in front of the camera and feel more comfortable with having their photographs taken. It is also a perfect opportunity for us to get to know each other and chat about wedding plans!
Joe recently proposed to his high school love, Lucy (who said yes!) in the most romantic of places, Stratford Upon Avon. Her friends bought them this engagement photo session as a surprise engagement present, how lovely! They were the cutest couple to work with, I didn't have to direct them much as they were so affectionate with one another. We captured lots of wonderful little moments of them together in Shakespeare's birthplace.
On the 9th of April, this beautiful couple tied the knot at Warwick House in Southam. This venue was super stylish and elegant, perfect for taking gorgeous photographs! The day ran so smoothly and it was so chilled and enjoyable, it was an honour to be a part of it. I must mention the creative design by Jam Jar Weddings and Events and Fairley Bespoke Floristry, they decorated the venue and it looked truly stunning. Harriet and Ali were a pleasure to photograph and all of their friends and family were very lovely too!
Prior to Donna & Pete's wedding at The Heath Hotel, Bewdley in June this year, we met up at Haden Hill Park to get some lovely photographs of them together. It was a lovely afternoon and a really nice way to get to know them before their big day. It also helped them to feel comfortable in front of my camera and gave them a chance to practice some poses!
Natalie & Tom's Wedding at St Edwards RC Church 31/03/18
My first wedding boudoir shoot, all shot with natural light and in the comfort of the client's home.
For Harriet & Ali's pre wedding consultation and complementary engagement photoshoot, we we adventured into the beautiful countryside to Kinver Edge on a gorgeous Autumnal day. They bought along their adorable son, Zayn who joined in with the fun in front of the camera!
Chantelle & Daniel had the most relaxed and enjoyable wedding day at Highbury Hall in Mosley, Birmingham. The venue had a vintage, bohemian feel which was true to their personalities and style. Autumn is my favourite season and it could not have been more perfect than to capture their memories beneath the golden leaves falling from the trees. Such a fun and heartfelt day, I honestly could do it all over again! Congratulations to you both.
On Saturday 26th August 2017, Katherine and Matthew became united at St Hilda's Church in Smethwick, a beautiful, simple and classical building full of light and positivity. They were whisked away in their gorgeous, classic vehicle on to the Edgbaston Golf Club where they would celebrate the rest of their day together with family and friends.
The listed building and grounds were glorious and the sun shined down during the whole day. We managed to sneak off for a little while to capture Katie and Matthew together, alone in the romantic landscape that the golf course had to offer.
It was a truly classy and sophisticated wedding, the bride and groom both looked stunning and all who were involved enjoyed every minute of their special day. It was an honour to be a part of it and I loved capturing every detail, moment and memory made.
Last Autumn, I had the pleasure of meeting my new clients, Katherine and Matthew to discuss their plans for their wedding day and to get some lovely photographs of them together as a little trial run. This weekend will be the day that they tie the knot at St Hildas Church and Edgbaston Golf Club, Birmingham. It has come around so quickly, I am truly honoured (and excited!) to be invited to capture the most special moments of their lives.
